Sam Dellert (he/him) is a filmmaker, artist, and educator committed to empowering people with the tools needed to express themselves, tell their stories and build their communities. He occasionally makes beer, “music" and sculptures too. Sam enjoys generating works which transcend notions of production, narrative, and genre. He has collaborated with immigrant communities ("Stateless", 2016), theater makers ("Wake", 2024), and high school school students ("The PennGSE/SDP Film Program", 2019-2024). His films have screened at festivals and exhibitions internationally, been broadcast on public television and promoted by major publications including The Atlantic. He has been awarded grants from Scribe Video Center and the Philadelphia Office of Arts, Culture and Creative Economy. 
Sam has worked as a film and media educator at institutions such as The University of Pennsylvania and the School District of Philadelphia. He freelances as a director, cameraperson, producer, and editor.
